Good Luck Wedding Chapter 023 Part 2 – As Expected of the Prince!

Even as he settled down to sleep that night, Ye Yunting was still thinking about the events of the day.

Although he had never been in love, he knew everything he needed to know. The two of them had been sleeping together for the past two days, and they may have to keep sharing the same bed for a long time in the future. To him, there was nothing pretentious about two men sleeping in the same bed. Besides, the bed was big enough for each to sleep in their own space, so it wasn’t any trouble.

But Li Fengqi suddenly told him today that he didn’t like women. Did that mean he liked men?

Now that he and Li Fengqi were sleeping in the same bed, wouldn’t it be like a man and a woman sleeping together? Ye Yunting frowned slightly, thinking, Li Fengqi shouldn’t be having strange thoughts about every man, right?

When Li Fengqi came out of the bath, he saw Ye Yunting holding the heater in his arms, snuggled up on the bed and lost in thought.

His long hair was casually draped over his shoulders, black luster shining under the candlelight. His hair was as black as a raven, his skin was whiter than snow, and his lips were vibrantly red.

In the past, Li Fengqi rarely paid attention to the appearance of others. In his eyes, appearances were just people’s vague identifiers, whether they be good-looking or ugly. But now, when he looked at Ye Yunting, he felt that the more he looked at him, the more he like him, and he was eager to make him his own.

In truth, he couldn’t tell when he started having such thoughts about Ye Yunting. Maybe it was when he soaked himself in cold water and made himself seriously ill just for a chance to go and get him medicine; or maybe it was when he had a high fever but still woke up thinking about Li Fengqi and the Northern Border. Thinking about him and Ye Yunting… They hadn’t known each other for long, but now, recalling every moment of their relationship so far made his heart flutter.

Li Fengqi pressed against his chest. He could feel his heart beating violently and drumming in his chest cavity.

It was said in the Peony Pavilion: Love does not know where it starts, but it goes deeper and deeper.

It matched his current state of mind exactly.

Li Fengqi lowered his eyes, his eyelashes blocking the surging emotions in his eyes. He turned the wheelchair to the side of the bed, braced against the bed with his strong arms, and moved his body onto the bed.

The space beside Ye Yunting sank. Ye Yunting came back to his senses and saw Li Fengqi sitting down beside him.

He was wearing a snow-white robe with the belt tied a little loosely and the interlocking collar loosely open, revealing half of his well-defined chest.

Ye Yunting only glanced at him for a moment and hastily averted his eyes. He didn’t know why he remembered that there was a time when he fell asleep and snuggled into Li Fengqi’s bed… then moved closer somewhat uncomfortably.

That… wasn’t something frivolous, right?

Ye Yunting could not sit still, feeling that he might not be able to sleep peacefully unless he clearly asked. He sighed, cleared his throat, and said, “What did Wangye mean by what he said during the day? I haven’t been able to figure it out even after thinking about it for a long time, so I’d like to ask Wangye to clarify.”

Li Fengqi, who had been arranging the bedding, made a movement, straightened up, and looked at him sideways. “Eh?”

A soft “hmm” came out from the end of his nose. Low and soft, with a vague aura of ambiguity.

Ye Yunting felt that he had been stimulated during the day, and now everything Li Fengqi did made him suspicious.

His hands were hidden under the quilt, and he picked at the embroidery on the heater’s cloth cover. After struggling for a long time, he continued to ask, “Wangye said earlier in the day that he doesn’t like women, so does Wangye… like men?”

Li Fengqi pulled up the quilt to his waist, his upper body relaxed as he leaned comfortably on the soft pillow. He looked at him sideways from a distance of two feet. “Mn.”

His posture was leisurely and open, which made Ye Yunting feel that he was being too pretentious. He frowned and thought about whether he should ask further, then he heard the man beside him say, “Don’t worry, Young Master. Although I like men, I don’t have desire for every man. When I was in the army, I ate and slept with my brothers, and they were no different to me.”

Ye Yunting breathed a sigh of relief when he heard this and smiled. “It was me who thought wrong.”

“Young Master’s thoughts aren’t out of line, either.” Seeing his relaxed expression, Li Fengqi couldn’t help but want to tease him again. Before Ye Yunting’s confused eyes, he said nonchalantly, “The Young Master is naturally different from those roughnecks.”

Ye Yunting:? ? ?

He opened his eyes wide and stared at Li Fengqi in surprise, obviously not understanding the meaning of these words. Or maybe he understood, but couldn’t believe them.

Knowing that one couldn’t eat hot tofu in a hurry, Li Fenqi slid down and made a show of going to bed. “It’s getting late. Young Master should also go to bed early.”

After speaking, he turned sideways and turned his back to Ye Yunting.

Ye Yunting continued to stare at the back of his head, thinking that he really did it on purpose.

How very terrible.

Ye Yunting didn’t sleep well all night. His thoughts were filled with those mysterious words. He tossed and turned and pondered for a long time. When he turned around and saw Li Fengqi sleeping peacefully, he suddenly felt angry. He felt that Li Fengqi probably said those on purpose to teach him a lesson about his inquisitiveness. If Li Fengqi really had those thoughts about him, how could he sleep so peacefully?

So he simply stopped dwelling, pulled up the quilt and went to sleep.

After that night, the relationship between the two was the same as before, but there seemed to be some subtle changes.

Ye Yunting thought he had corrected his attitude and that Li Fengqi had just been teasing him for fun. But Li Fengqi seemed to be addicted, teasing him whenever he found an opportunity, and after he felt uncomfortable, he would leave as though nothing had happened. Ye Yunting couldn’t get angry. If he really took it seriously, he would appear to be narrow-minded.

So he simply ignored Li Fengqi. Whenever Li Fengqi said something vague or made some ambiguous actions, he would just ignore it and let him go.

He thought that after this person realized that he would not respond, he would naturally lose interest.

Another day passed in the blink of an eye and then it was August 28th, the day when the Duke of Qi and his wife would come to visit.

Ye Yunting got up as usual and was picking up the clothes from beside the bed to put them on when Li Fengqi pulled on his arm. The man leaned against the head of the bed, raised his chin, and said with a smile, “The Duke of Qi is visiting today so it wouldn’t be appropriate to wear those.”

“?” Ye Yunting frowned. “Then what should I wear?”

He didn’t really have many clothes, and the materials and styles of his clothes were all similar. One wasn’t much different from another, so whichever one he wore looked the same to him.

“Wu Geng,” Li Fengqi called out in a loud voice.

Wu Geng, who was waiting outside, heard the voice and came in with several stacked brocade boxes.

“I asked someone to make them at short notice. Try and see if they fit.” Li Fengqi said.

Hearing this, Wu Geng lined up the brocade boxes on the table, opened the lids and asked him to choose. “A total of ten sets were ordered, but time was too tight and only two sets were completed.”

Ye Yunting lowered his head to look at the clothes in the brocade box. One was a set of silver and white, and the other a set of dark purple. The silvery-white, elegant cotton robe was not too heavy. It was covered with a smoky gray outer layer, as elegant as an ink painting. The deep purple robe, on the other hand, looked more noble, with soft fur for the lining and fine satin for the outer surface. The edges such as the lapel and collar were rolled back to reveal black fur edging. In addition, there was also a black fox-fur coat, long boots, a jade crown and other accessories. From top to bottom, the items were very complete. It was obvious that the person who ordered them had put quite some thought into them.

Ye Yunting thought for a while and chose the purple one. Since he would be wearing them to meet guests, it would be better not to be too plain.

He held the clothes and thanked Li Fengqi.

Li Fengqi had already sat up from the bed and was slowly and methodically arranging his clothes. His wide sleeves slipped down, revealing a delicate wrist bone.

He lowered his eyes and smiled at Ye Yunting. “Just think of it as a gesture of apology for the night before yesterday. I have been in the army for a long time, so it’s inevitable that I will be a little rough around the edges. Please don’t blame me, Young Master.” It was obviously to explain the misunderstanding that night. But those words that came out of his mouth seemed a little more charming and lingering, as if something else had happened that night.

Ye Yunting, who didn’t want to dwell on this matter, pursed his lips, and said calmly, “Wangye made a sincere gesture.”

After saying that, he took the clothes and went behind the screen to change.

The two of them were exchanging words back and forth, and there was something in their words. Listening to them, Wu Geng’s heart was in turmoil, but on his face, he had to pretend that he didn’t understand anything. He lowered his head, his eyes quietly glanced upwards, looking at his own prince and then looking at the screen. He said to himself, “Mother, Wangye’s legs are like this, yet he still maintains his majesty. He is truly worthy of being a prince!”

When Ye Yunting came out from changing clothes, he sensed Wu Geng looking at him with a strange gaze.

He frowned slightly, looked down at himself, and asked uncertainly, “Is it not quite suitable?”

Wu Geng’s dog-legged feelings were beyond words: “Especially suitable. Wangfei looks like an immortal descending to earth in this outfit! If the older girls and younger wives outside saw him, they would probably be unable to walk.

His words, expressions and movements were all too exaggerated. Ye Yunting frowned and looked at Li Fengqi.

It felt like it was still the prince who was more reliable.

Li Fengqi glanced at Wu Geng and nodded. “Wu Geng has never read a book, so he can only use a few words to praise people, but his words are not wrong. This outfit suits you very well.”

He didn’t lie, either. Ye Yunting’s outfit looked very fitting. He usually wore plain colors, which made him appear more elegant and gentle. Now, dressed in luxurious purple clothes, he was like white snow and red plum blossoms that warmed people’s hearts.

Hearing Li Fengqi say this, Ye Yunting felt relieved.

He called Ji Lian to pack the rest of his clothes, and waited for Li Fengqi to change before heading out to the front yard.

——The servant came to report that the Duke of Qi and his family were already waiting in the front hall.

*

In the front hall, Ye Zhili had already finished his second cup of tea, but still no one came. He placed the tea cup heavily on the table. Although he did verbalize any criticism now that he was in the palace, his expression was very ugly.

Yin Hongye sat next to him, glanced at the maid with a low eyebrow, and said with displeasure, “We have been waiting here for a long time, but Wangye and Wangfei are still nowhere to be seen. Have you servants been lazy and didn’t go pass the message?”

“Madame, please forgive me. We have already sent the message, but at this hour, Wangye and Wangfei have only just gotten up…” one said, looking up at Madame Yin, who had a look of confusion on her face, and and dared not say any more.

These people were originally sent by the imperial palace and were not trusted by Prince Yong’an. They were not even allowed to enter the inner room without cause. They did go to pass the message, but the servant inside only said, “Wangye and Wangfei just got up and asked them to wait,” and then nothing more happened.

They didn’t dare to say anything about it, so they could only suffer anger from both sides.

Yin Hongye became more and more unhappy when she heard this. She couldn’t bear to be show anger, and sarcastically said in a conspiratorial tone, “Sure enough, times are different nowadays.”

As soon as she finished speaking, someone said: “Madame Yin has tasted some true meaning after drinking two cups of tea in this royal residence.”

Yin Hongye followed the sound and saw Li Fengqi and Ye Yunting entering side by side. They both wore the same purple clothes, only one was darker and the other was lighter. Even the belt tokens they wore on their waists were a pair.

She narrowed her eyes, pulled her son who was dumbfounded, and stood up with Ye Zhili to salute. However, although she made the proper courtesies, she refused to admit defeat: “The tea in Wangye’s house is good tea, but after drinking two cups, it tastes a bit boring.”

It was almost saying that they had been neglecting their guests.

Li Fengqi glanced at her casually: “Since Madame is tired of it, she should drink less.” After saying that, he raised his hand and ordered the tea to be removed. It was no different from directly kicking someone out.

Not expecting him to act so ruthlessly. Yin Hongye’s expression changed and she wanted to speak, but Ye Zhili pressed on her arm. She could only reluctantly quiet down and glance at Ye Yunting.

Ye Zhili was even more composed. He put on a fatherly face and said warmlym “Yunting and I haven’t seen each other for a long time, and we have a lot to talk about. Might Wangye let us father and son talk alone?”

Li Fengqi frowned and tapped his fingers impatiently on the armrest of the wheelchair, feeling that Ye Zhili really didn’t understand the situation.

“Qi-Guogong wants to have a private conversation with Wangfei, yet he comes to ask me if I agree?” He laughed sarcastically. “I think the Duke of Qi has gotten something wrong. The rules in my Yong’an Palace are different from those in the Duke of Qi’s residence.” He stretched out his hand and nodded. “There are three masters in the Yong’an Palace now. Besides mother and me, there's Yunting.”

He looked at Ye Zhili’s face, which looked like pig liver, and continued to ask nonchantly, “Does Qi-Guogong understand what I mean?”

How could Ye Zhili not understand what he meant? Prince Yong’an told him openly that Ye Yunting was also the master of the palace. If he wanted to talk to Ye Yunting alone, he should go and ask Ye Yunting in person.

This was telling him, as a father, to beg his son in a low voice.

It was simply too much!
