Good Luck Wedding 034 – Being Drunk Can Cause Trouble For People

The carriage stopped in front of the gate, and the two of them got off and walked towards the mansion carrying their large bags of items.

They bumped into Zhu Lie when they returned to the main courtyard. Zhu Lie’s eyes widened when he saw them and came forward in surprise. “Wangye, Wangfei, what were you doing?”

Before Ye Yunting could answer, Li Fengqi frowned and said, “Can’t you recognize the Double Ninth Cake and the wine?”

“I do recognize them.” Zhu Lie scratched his head and said in confusion, “Why does Wangye and Wangfei need to go and buy them in person?” Weren’t there servants in the palace who could do that?

Besides, the Prince wasn’t the kind of person who would go out to the streets to buy these knick-knacks, right?

Li Fengqi looked at him with a compassionate expression. “If you could figure this out, you wouldn’t have been unable to get married for this long.” He then motioned to Ye Yunting to go ahead of him and return to his courtyard.

Zhu Lie: ???
Why are you being so moody again?

However, Li Fengqi was too lazy to pay attention to him and went back to the house with Ye Yunting.

The two of them returned late. It was already past dinner time, so they didn’t ask the servants to prepare a meal; instead, they just had Double Ninth Festival cakes and drank most of the jar of chrysanthemum wine.

The Double Ninth Festival cake was made of chrysanthemums. The sweet and glutinous aroma of the cake mixed with the mellow fragrance of the wine, making Ye Yunting’s face turn red.

He seldom touched alcohol, but today there was no one holding him back. In addition, the chrysanthemum wine was so refreshing, paired with the Double Ninth Festival cake, he drank a lot without realizing it.

By the time he realized what he did, he was already a little tipsy.

“Is the young master drunk?” Li Fengqi drank more than him, but there was no hint of drunkenness in his eyes. He raised his eyebrows and approached him to ask.

Ye Yunting propped his chin with one hand and looked at him with drunken eyes. “I’m…not.”

Li Fengqi laughed and reached out to take the wine glass in his hand. “You are drunk.”

“I haven’t finished drinking yet.” Seeing him trying to get his own wine glass, Ye Yunting frowned and said unhappily, “You drink your own.”

The tip of his eyebrows was slightly furrowed, and his delicate facial features were wrinkled in a childish way, making him look a little more lively and childish.

It seemed that he really wasdrunk. Normally, he would never show such an expression.

Li Fengqi paused for a moment. His mind perked up again, and he couldn’t help teasing him: “But I just want to drink from you.”

After saying that, he stared straight at Ye Yunting’s wine glass.

Seeing this, Ye Yunting looked hesitant. He looked at Li Fengqi, then at the wine glass, and made a difficult choice. He raised the wine glass to Li Fengqi’s mouth and said, “Since we both lost our mothers, I’ll give you a sip.”

He was so drunk now that he confused his past life with this present life. He just felt sorry for Li Fengqi.

But to Li Fengqi, he was drunk and talking nonsense.

He did not argue; instead, he took Ye Yunting’s hand and took a sip of wine from the glass. The chrysanthemum wine was clear and refreshing, the spicyness only kicking in after it had been in the mouth for a long time. Then it tasted sweet, and had a long aftertaste.

But the mouthful he took just now was sweeter than honey.

He looked at the drunk man with a serious look, and subconsciously licked the wine on his lips. “It tastes very good.”

Ye Yunting thought deeply, nodded in agreement, and drank all the wine in the glass. After finishing his drink, he wanted to pour more wine, but the wine jar was now in Li Fengqi’s hand. He leaned over to get it, but Li Fengqi stopped him. “You can’t drink anymore.”

His tolerance for drinking was too low. If he drank too much, he might get a headache the next day.

But Ye Yunting didn’t listen. He leaned over, grabbed the wine jar with both hands, and even behaved like a rascal. “I’m still drinking.”

After saying that, he looked at Li Fengqi longingly with a pair of misty eyes.

He had never shown this kind of attitude before, almost like coquettishness and currying favor.

Li Fengqi swallowed, and his voice was a little dry. “You’ll get a headache if you drink too much.” He said this, but his hand holding the wine jar loosened a little bit.

Ye Yunting was drunk, but he still knew how to read his expression. He probably thought that playing tricks bore fruit, so he hugged the wine jar tightly with both arms and propped his head against it, his chin resting on the lid of the wine jar. He tilted his head to one side, looked straight at Li Fengqi, and said, “Just one cup. Okay?”

“…” Li Fengqi was almost powerless to resist.

As soon as his hands loosened subconsciously, the drunk man grabbed the wine jar into his arms.

Ye Yunting was like a cat that had stolen a fish, his eyes were so filled with joy. He poured himself a glass, finished it happily, and then poured another. After pouring the wine, he probably felt that Li Fengqi’s gaze was too intense. He thought for a moment, then boldly and generously filled the wine glass in front of Li Fengqi. “You drink, too.”

He drank two cups himself and then gave Li Fengqi another refill. Li Fengqi just watched helplessly as he drank the remaining half of the jar of wine. In the end, all he could do was lie on the table and talk nonsense.

Li Fengqi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, and was secretly annoyed at himself for being so soft-hearted and indulgent. He couldn’t help but reach out and pinch the flesh of that cheek that felt so good to touch, and then loudly called for Ji Lian to come in and help.

Ji Lian helped to get him lie down on the bed, took off his outer robe, and went to bring him some hot water to wipe him.

This was something he was used to doing. But this time, just as he’d finished wringing out his handkerchief, Li Fengqi beside him took over. “I’ll do it.”

Before Ji Lian could react, he instinctively let go.

Li Fengqi held the handkerchief and carefully wiped Ye Yunting’s face and hands. He did this with great care, and his expression was different from his usual gentleness.

After wiping his face and hands, he went to remove the white socks from Ye Yunting’s feet.

Ji Lian quickly said, “I’ll do it.”

“No need.” Li Fengqi stopped him, lowered his eyes and took off Ye Yunting’s socks, then used a handkerchief to wipe his feet.

After finishing all this, he wiped his hands, threw the handkerchief back into the basin, and said, “You can go. I’ll take care of him.”

Ji Lian let out a “oh”, but his eyes were still stunned when he left.

The cool breeze outside the house hit his face, startling him into alertness. He thought about Prince Yong’an’s behavior just now and felt that something wasn’t right.

Didn’t the young master say it was just for show? Why did Prince Yong’an even go so far as to serve another person?

Ji Lian frowned and scratched his head, unable to figure it out.

In the inner room.

Li Fengqi put out the candle, moved Ye Yunting to the inner side of the bed, then undressed and lay down.

On ordinary days, he and Ye Yunting slept separately, with a large mattress 8bed and a quilt for each person. As the saying went, the water from a well wouldn’t intrude on the river. But this time, Ye Yunting had drunk too much, and Li Fengqi forgot to place the heater into the quilt when he tucked that person in. With his eyes closed, Ye Yunting groped inside the bedding for the heater but didn’t find it; he grumbled discontentedly.

Li Fengqi was facing him sideways, using the weak moonlight to look at him. However,he suddenly saw him digging around back and forth under the quilt, and then reached into his bedding.

He frowned, but didn’t stop him.

Ye Yunting instinctively tried to find a comfortable and warm place, and finally turned sideways towards Li Fengqi, snuggled into his arms, and pressed his forehead against his chest. Content, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Li Fengqi was both happy and tormented. He put his arms around his back and whispered, “You can make people miserable when you’re drunk.”

But he was reluctant to push him away. He reached out to tuck the quilt behind Ye Yunting, embraced him, and slept.

When he woke up the next day, Ye Yunting felt dizzy.

He frowned in discomfort, and a somewhat hoarse throat sound came out of his throat. In a daze, he opened his eyes and prepared to get up, but his eyes fell on a naked chest.

“???”

Startled, Ye Yunting leaned back, and saw the owner of the chest – Li Fengqi, leaning sideways, his head resting on one hand, looking at him with an unfamiliar expression. “Did the young master sleep well?”

Ye Yunting’s eyes wandered around that loose and spread-out collar that exposed a large part of his chest, and thought that this wasn’t good.

How could he drink so much wine and then fall asleep under the same quilt?

It used to be that way in the past. But now that he knew that Prince Yong’an liked men, continuing to act in that manner would make him seem like a rouge who wanted to take advantage of the situation.

His face felt hot, and he bit out awkwardly, “Last night…”

He was stuck after those two words.

What happened last night?

He tried his best to remember, but found that his memory stopped when Li Fengqi said that he was drunk. He said he was not drunk and went on. And then he didn’t remember anymore.

Li Fengqi frowned and knew that he must be too hungover to remember anything else.

His eyes flashed imperceptibly, and he slowly sat up, leaning against his arms. “Young master, you don’t remember what happened last night?”

Hearing him ask this, Ye Yunting suddenly felt even more guilty.

He fingered the embroidery on the brocade quilt, clearly lacking confidence. “I didn’t trouble Wangye last night… right?”

“You didn’t.” Li Fengqi raised his eyebrows and said in a calm tone: “It’s just that the young master insisted on holding me to sleep last night, and he refused to sleep if I didn’t let him.”

“!!!?”

Ye Yunting’s face turned red. He wanted to refute this, but the facts were right in front of him, so he could only smile dryly and say, “I, I’m not very good at holding my alcohol. I’m sorry for causing trouble for Wangye.”

Li Fengqi made a drawn-out “hmm” sound. “It wasn’t troublesome at all. Even the young master knows that I like men. I had a beauty in my arms. Being Liuxia Hui1 really was a test of my will. “

He said this almost bluntly, and his eyes seemed to have hooks: as long as Ye Yunting looked at him for more than a glance, he would be captured and unable to escape.

“…” Ye Yunting keenly discerned some other meanings from this. His chest was beating like a drum, and his eyes did not even dare to meet Li Fengqi’s.

His entire person was at a loss.

When Li Fengqi saw this, he no longer pressed forward. Instead, he raised his eyebrows and smiled, reaching for his robe to put it on. “It’s getting late, let’s get up. I’ve asked Ji Lian to prepare some sobering soup. You can drink some later.”

Ye Yunting breathed a sigh of relief when Li Fengqi took the initiative to bypass this problem. He lowered his eyes and let out a hum, jumped out of bed barefoot, and turned his back to Li Fengqi in a hurry to put on his clothes.

He happened to miss the triumphant smile that could not be concealed on Li Fengqi’s face.
